Australian prisoner in Bulgaria may be o Sydney
32 year old Jack Palfreeman from Sydney has been by now in Bulgarian prison, charged for killing. He had to be there for 20 years. But the prosecutor decided to let him go by amnesty in the middle of his imprisonment. Many people (especially locals) consider he should serve out the whole term, some people, however, think, that the killer has to be out of prison because of justice mistake. A decision to grant parole should be residual, according to Bulgarian law, and can't be appealed.
Palfreeman was accused in killing and attempt of killing of two bulgarian boys in 2007. Since than he has been in prison for 11 years. Now his supporters gathered in Sydney and try to bring him home. Palfreeman's fate now is in hands of three judges. His lawyer noticed, that politics affects the case very much.
