Sydney is looking for feedback on the smart city framework
The city of Sydney has invited feedback on the plans of becoming a smart city. The initiative is supposed to help the city to cope with the increasing population and climate change. A draft on Smart City Strategic Framework is available for the review that shows how Sydney is planning to do more with less in terms of resources, space, energy and more. The city is looking for a “problem-driven, evidence-based approach” and does not want tech just for the sake of it. The plan is not to reinvent the wheel in its smart city journey and to make sure that the smaller cities around like Newcastle get a chance to adopt technologies like predictive analysis and Internet of Things. As there will be concerns over data sharing and privacy, the city authorities are taking every step carefully.
