Trafficking drugs in the injection cente Melbourne
Two employees at the Injection Medical Center in Melbourne were amid eight people jailed today for drug commerce. Police took drugs and cash after a checking of a number of residential buildings in Burnside Heights. They arrested a Richmond man, 49, and the woman from Brunswick West, 36, who work at the freshly opened Injection Medical Center. Victoria Police does not claim that any crimes occurred at a medical facility in North Richmond, according to a spokeswoman. The arrests are part of Operation Sievers, a three-month investigation against drug trafficking.
A chairwoman of a group of residents who are lobbying the government to move a safe injection room, which is currently operating in the vicinity of primary school, said she was not surprised by the accusations. She said that today, within five hours after the injection center controlled by medical personnel, there was a drug raid, burglary, and violence.
