Accused people may escape complete term in prison
A 23-year-old John Wills from Melbourne has been recently accused in killing a woman in 2017, he was also a part of different crimes earlier. After hearing in the court he was sentenced to ten years behind bars. However, Victoria Supreme Court may make this term much less because of the coronavirus pandemic in the state.
Judges are asking relatives and friends of people in prison and custody not to come to them to prevent spread of coronavirus in jails. The court has also announced that one day in the conditions of pandemic will be counted as four ones.
