Metro Design Flaw Flagged By Cyclists. Brisbane
The cyclists of the Brisbane city have found a loophole in the metro design of the town. CBD Bicycle user group co-convener Donald Campbell came to the council about the potential flaws in the design. He has repeatedly put petitions in the council with the concerns of the cyclists. Brisbane city council has planned a $944 million plan for the Metro route.
The plan for the metro route was released months ago, which raised concerns with the cyclist. The planned route could see a potential clash between the paths of cyclists and Buses at the proposed South Brisbane metro.
The council resumed the debate on Tuesday about the planned designs and the safety risks it involves for cyclists. The discussion initiated in August but was paused due to the absence of a cycle representative. The cyclists are demanding to alter the design to protect bike riders along the Melbourne street in South Brisbane.
