A three-day strike by Jetstar Australia staff to start today.
The weekend is going to be difficult for Jestar as baggage handlers and ground crew have stopped working for three days. The pilots are also on four-hour stoppages. The ground staff will walk off the job at different times today in Melbourne's Tullamarine and Avalon airports and Brisbane, Cairns and Adelaide. The strike is happening just two weeks before Christmas as the airline has rejected workers' demand to increase pay and increase minimum working hours at the job.
