Chris Lynn: Brisbane Heat star tees off on Sydney Sixers
Chris Lynn came very close to making the fastest century in Big Bash history but fell just a bit short in Brisbane's clash with the Sixers at the SCG.
The star batsman had an explosive inning, hammering 11 sixes in his knock of 94 off just 35 balls.
Lynn managed to match the record for the most sixes in a BBL inning, but he wasn't able to set a new record for the fastest hundred. Craig Simmons has the record of the fastest century in Big Bash with a 39-ball effort from 2014 still standing.
Ben Manenti finally removed Lynn from the pitch after he missed to clear Sean Abbott on the long-on boundary.
Brisbane finished on 4/209 from their 20 overs.
The Sixers fell short on the run chase and managed to make 7/161 in reply.
This win was the Heat's first of the season, while the Sixers' record now stands at 1-2.

“The smoke is brought up from NSW fires through today.”
Ms. Gardner told the smoke haze was spanning most of Australia and being driven eastwards towards New Zealand.
She has also warned the state saying, the state will be reaching the peak of the heatwave on Sunday. Temperature is eight to twelve degrees above average in the southern inland areas, but the coastal fringe will be more moderated by sea breezes.
