70,000 bees found living in the hive in Brisbane
What will you do if you find out that 70,000 bees are residing inside your home? A couple from Brisbane’s suburban home found that there are thousands of bees living in a hive in the roof. The couple heard a humming sound inside the tent, after which they investigated to check what exactly is going on.
Beekeeper Paul Wood, of Brisbane Backyard Bees, said that there must be 10 to 15 KG honey in the ceiling of the home. The hive must be meters long and been there for about two years. The couple used to hear the humming sound but never expected to see such a massive beehive. It is not unusual to find such giant hives as bees often move in groups. Mr. Wood said that he will take the bees to his property and will take care of them.

On Wednesday, Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg continued to answer lawmakers ' concerns as to whether the corporation was unable to ensure that the 737 Max aircraft was safe and pilots were properly trained before two catastrophic crashes that killed 346 people. "We're deeply sorry, we're not going to forget, and I want you to know that, and we're committed to making the changes we want," he told the House Transportation Committee in his opening statement. Family members and friends who lost loved ones in the Lion Air and Ethiopian Air crashes sat in the hearing room behind Muilenberg at both the House hearing and a Senate hearing on Tuesday, holding large pictures of the victims. Muilenburg said Tuesday, to hear their personal stories, he visited some of those people.
"Hearing was difficult, but I wanted to share their experiences, hear what they had to say. It was important for us to understand the impact this had," Muilenburg told ABC Senior Transportation Correspondent David Kerley on Wednesday before the hearing.
" As difficult as those talks are, I think it's part of the learning process, "he said," It's part of us that takes time to listen and makes us better as an organization and aligns with our values And we're going to understand from this and I think most importantly it reminds us of the value of the work we're doing and that security must be paramount. "At Wednesday's hearing, lawmakers plan to concentrate on stress within Boeing, pilot training standards, and whether information were withheld from the FAA, a committee spokesperson said.
"Why are we actually doing this? What is the purpose of this whole process we are going through, the regulations, the procedures, why? And in the end it's always about people, that's what we're here for. We're here for fellow Americans, fellow citizens," in hearing said by Rep. Garret Graves, R-La.
"And it's incredible to me just being here so often that's overlooked." Muilenburg told a Senate committee that he's not going to step down on the questions about the 737 Max at a hearing on Tuesday, saying he's focused on ensuring company safety. Boeing's fleet of 737 Max aircraft was grounded as officials examined the software issues that contributed to the Lion Air and Ethiopian Air crashes, software upgrades were implemented, and pilots retrained. But Boeing's safety culture was subject to increased scrutiny as research raised more questions about the actions of the company.
According to Boeing, the Maneuvering Controls Augmentation System, or MCAS, is a technology feature implemented in the 737 MAX to make it feel and function like previous models. Investigator reports indicate that erroneous signals from a single sensor contributed to MCAS ' misfire repeatedly pushed down the aircraft's noses during the fatal crashes of Lion Air and Ethiopian Air.Messages between two pilots emerged two weeks ago when they said in a simulator session that the MCAS flight control system was "running rampant."
Multiple lawmakers questioned Muilenburg on decisions to remove content from the pilot training materials for the 737 Max on the MCAS system as well as whether profit concerns motivated the company to take decisions to reduce production costs or additional pilot training.
"You have a systemic issue in your company, you're making profit," said Rep. John Garamendi, D-Calif., adding that in 2018, Boeing had $15 billion in cash on hand. "You drive money, you don't drive value, and you're positive that you don't drive security as hell."
The characterization that the company prioritizes profit is not accurate, Muilenburg said, and that safety is the priority, but acknowledges that team incentives are based on cost savings and schedule.
I disagree with your concept; we have a secure aircraft business model, "Muilenburg said.. "Boeing's only sustainable business model."
Some leaders suggested that Muilenburg would forego some of its annual salary of about $30 million while the company is struggling with systemic problems. He also said that he did not offer his resignation to the board of the company, saying "my father taught me that you are not running away from challenges."
